Recreational youth lacrosse for boys and girls that emphasizes participation over competition and education over performance.

Cost to Play:

• $110 Members
• $185 Non-Members

Age Division:

BOYS:

• Bantam Division: 1st & 2nd graders
• Lightning Division: 3rd & 4th graders
• Junior Division: 5th & 6th graders
• Senior Division: 7th & 8th graders

GIRLS:

• Bantam Division: 1st & 2nd graders
• Lightning Division: 3rd & 4th graders
• Junior Division: 5th & 6th graders
• Senior Division: 7th & 8th graders

Season:

Practices will begin March 1, 2009. There will be 8 games that will begin the week of March 22, and the season will conclude the week of May 10. All games will be held on Chalmers or McEachern Field located at 1200 W. Cesar Chavez, weather permitting.

Team Formation:

Teams will be formed by requests and school core groups by WAYA staff. Please be sure to communicate your request on the registration form.

League Play:

WAYA teams will participate in the CTYLA (Central Texas Youth Lacrosse Association) and compete against other area schools and youth organizations. The teams will play 1 game a week and will have 8 games per season.

Equipment:

Boys will need to provide their own equipment which includes: stick, helmet, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, cleats and mouthpiece.
Girls participating will need to provide their own stick, protective eyewear and mouthpiece.
